3. How many undecided voters are left?
Isn't it well below 10% now? There's nothing Sarah Palin can say or do that will win a lot of independents and moderates, once they know who she is. As Chris Matthews said tonight, he heard nothing of Hillary Clinton in her. She won't appeal to Clinton's voters. I think Palin is only going to be able to bring out more of the ultra right wing base that might not have come out to vote for McCain. No one can listen to her without knowing where she stands on the issues and it's on the far, far right. We're back to 2004 with that divide and the issue then becomes how many of the Democratic base will show up.

4. The demcratic base has expanded this year.
The Gop base has stagnated.
