Carly Fiorina Accuses Democrats Of Allowing Sexism

September 3, 2008

Earlier this afternoon, McCain surrogate Carly Fiorina did a brief sit down with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell, in which the two discussed the coverage of vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin. Fiorina was upset at what she termed "sexist characterizations" of Palin, saying: "What we are saying to the media of the world is that the Democratic party stood by while Hillary Clinton was subjected to incredible sexism in the media. The Republican party is not going to stand by."

1. It's sexist all right. Romney, Pawlenty, Jeb Bush--all would have made respectable Veeps.
But they chose the "lady" with the "sheild-baby," how utterly conveeeeenient.

I marched with my mom for the ERA and abortion rights and I call sexism where I see it. The selection of Sarah Palin is as goddamn sexist as it gets (feel free to quote me on that, Senator Biden; I will happily give you my personal info so that you can!)..

2. It was nothing more than a gimmick to them and a step back for women.

5. Seriously--ROMNEY would have been a more respectful choice for women.
She's the walking, talking embodiment of "two steps forward, three steps back."

4. I don't think they know we have recording devices. Palin called Hillary "a whiner."
