I still can't believe they did it: they paraded sex outside of marriage & REWARDED it with approval
on a national stage.

I'm old and "experienced", but I'm absolutely FLOORED that they would actually do such a brazen thing.

The problem with that assumption is that you have to be GOD to make that kind of judgement about your "ends"/goals. It's BLASPHEMY!

husband's business partner. I guess that's okay too. Maybe they were swingers. Who knows. The hypocrisy is astounding especially after what the media did to John Edwards where he couldn't even attend the DNC convention because of the shame.

Because Republicans tend to have that crappy helmet hair look.

I remember Jon Stewart making the joke awhile back when showing the pics of those Republicans: "This is what happens when you don't let gay people touch your hair!"

I'll bet that a lot of abstinence-only Rethuglicans have had pregnant minor children. They will see Sarah Palin as reassurance that they aren't bad parents after all; you know, "It can happen to anybody! Even a Republican governor! And her daughter didn't kill her baby!"

This is yet another Rethuglican attempt to appear populist.

Dem candidate for VP taking the stage with her gum chewing boyfriend, and then imagine repuke heads exploding. It would be called "a sickening immoral display" "depraved" "flaunting teenage sex" "displaying a complete disregard for any standards of decency" "showing lack of respect for the importance of the occasion" and anything else they could think of to throw at them. RW pastors all around the country would rally the troops with cries of "Godless fornicators" and "this is what we've come to expect from the liberals." It would be a feeding frenzy the likes of which hasn't been seen since Jaws.

Of course the Dems wouldn't nominate someone with an unmarried pregnant teen daughter because they would consider it too politically risky. They know what the repukes' reaction would be.

It just amazes me that the repukes can get away with absolutely anything and their base will applaud it.
