1. I just tuned to MSNBC to see that, w/ Olbermann talking to K. O'Donnell

My main problem is... the reporting was apparently based on the McCain campaign reporting that Palin had overcome a teleprompter problem. Why would we believe them? How is this a credible story, or one worth reporting?

It's MORE likely that it's total bulls**t that they throwing out there to puff-up Palin.

Pretty disappointing that Olbermann fell for it.

2. Actually it was a retraction of a Rachel Maddow slam.

5. Rachel made a joke about how it was lucky for Palin that some of the words were spelled out phonetic
Phonetically on the teleprompter, it was off the cuff and a joke chuckle.

Cut to commercial and back and Raechel is gone, Oberman is making a retraction about the comment and explaining that some words are always spelled phonetically and they lead into a puff piece by a "reporter" who is "reporting" that the McCain camp is "reporting" that the teleprompter operator failed to operate the teleprompter properly and while Palin was using the teleprompter much of the speech was her own views and look how well she did with out it. end "Report"

6. Ah... I did see, just a bit ago, Rachel's comment on the phonetic spelling ...
... and Keith's correction.

But I feel MSNBC was scammed by McCain's campaign on the "teleprompter error" story they fed 'em. She was reading from the prompter the whole bloody time; but she did a damn good job (especially in comparison to Bush and/or McCain).
