Obama has set the bar high by taking the high road
Tonight, the Republicans are proving that age old adage true that "White Men Can't Jump"

2. I love it!
So very true. The high road is so much better. The faces at the Dem convention weren't twisted with ugly, mocking, bitterness.

4. I was wondering how the two conventions compared.
So many speakers at the DNC said that McCain was a good man. However, they said he plans to take the country in the wrong direction. The way his campaign has gone proves this.

5. Look at this and see what the people (of all parties) think of the snark.

Listening to Palin's speech tonight, I cried. Not tears of joy, hope, or happiness. I cried because i am scared that her rhetoric will affect people's decisions about America's future. This speech was scarier than any movie, any war, and anything I can think of. If people believe this obvious pandering of ideologies, I pray we can get through these next four years. less

I have been watching this for days to determine how I should vote. Palin's speech has been the deciding factor for me. Aside from the issues, she has about as much experience as my next door neighbor. I can't believe she has the nerve to ignore the obvious and come out as if she isn't a bit aware of the fact that hardly anyone knows who she is and she hasn't earned the standing to be attacking other's experience. The only thing that I have seen that is similar is George Bush's complete obliviousness to the public view. Maybe like him, she only watches FOX news. I was hoping McCain would be more in tune to the American people. His judgement is a serious question. less

Wow, I'm extremely disappointed with Palin's speech. I was willing to give her a chance. despite the questions the press (rightly!) have been asking about her (being a complete unknown to most of us in the lower 48), but she didn't say a single thing to dissuade my gut feeling - this person is a truly frightening choice for the control of the US nuclear arsenal. Bulldog my &%$#@ ***! Try COMPLETE AMATEUR!!! less

The GOP showed thier true colors tonight.

The Obama campaign has McCain all wrong. This isn't four more years of George W. Bush. This is worse. less

I thought the speech, my mistake, speeches tonight were extremely nasty. I keep thinking we all have to live in this country after this election. The Republicans showed themselves for who they really are tonight - Willing to tear down every shred of unity to be in power. less
