I want to see Rudy go to Chicago's South Side and tell the people they are not "living in crisis"

1. I used to work on the South Side

I saw a lot of crisis there, especially when the industrial plants - of which there were many - started shutting down.

And while I believe their disdainful treatment of 'community organizer' was a racist code to demean poor blacks, I saw a lot of pain also in the South Side ethnic communities, Polish, Russian, Slavic - and these people vote, too. Granted Obama will carry Illinois, but the GOP speeches tonight really drew a line in the sand and mocked the economic pain of everyone who isn't a war profiteer or an overpaid CEO. It was one of the dumbest strategies I've ever seen employed by a national campaign.

And I loved Chicago, btw. One of my favorite cities to live in.
