Palin has greatly motivated me.
Yes, readers I admit. I have been terribly affected by her speech.

I was so affected by her speech that I just had to whip out my credit card and visit that Donate link at the top of this page (the ones that goes to barackobama.com). It's not a lot but hey it's something.

As for my general opinion about the speech? Presentation was OK. The speech was very much to the convention audience not the wider TV one. There was no hope in it, just lambasting Obama. Her joke about the pit bull and lipstick was flat on me.

My fear is that there are people out there who would have been persuaded by this speech to support the dark side's cause. I want Obama to come out on the attack, especially against the ugly McSame adverts that are plastered across the airwaves here in NC. Of course come out in a nice way. And that's one reason why I, this ex-pat Brit as permanent resident here, whilst I can't vote, I can donate. And I will.

Baracks' speech inspired me too, but in a good way because he expressed hope in his speech. Again, yes I whipped out my credit card and I went to the Obama office in Greensboro, signed a volunteer sign up sheet. Haven't heard anything yet though, but the time to do the work is NOW IMO.

Mark.

3. I agree 100%! I'm going to donate twice what I was after Obama's amazing acceptance speech, in
dishonor of "McCain's folly".(AKA~"Mayor Failin'")

4. As a former American-living-in-Britain, THANK YOU
I have been wondering all day how hard my former neighbors and colleagues in Yorkshire and Essex are laughing at this Patriotism-Off, otherwise known as the RNC.

America disappoints me. The stupidity.
