Rudy's Speech Goes Long, Forces Cancellation Of Palin Introductory Video
Wow. Rudy, who was clearly enjoying his speech as much as he enjoyed his trips to his command-center love nest, ran so long that the GOP convention planners were forced to skip over the planned video introducing Sarah Palin.

As soon as Rudy left the stage, Palin came out to speak -- even though the schedule clearly said there would be a video tribute first.

Rudy!

I love it! I think that this is pretty devastating for the Repubs as I am sure it was going to try to endear her to the country. Instead Rudy messes up everything and I'm sure she was a little thrown off by it.

8. Olbermann commented early on that they were ahead of schedule

but then they got to a section where there were no gaps in the program because they didn't want to give the media an opportunity to comment.

Looks like that plan worked well. lol.

3. They're not going to be happy with him.
Now she just looks like a "Mean Girl". The resemblance to Tina Fey makes it even funnier.

10. I think its because they know the networks will cut out at a certain
time.

That Alaskan blogger was liveblogging and had a comment midway through her speech that some parts of the country had just cut out.

Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 04:23 AM by votesomemore
into the game tonight? He dissed the Democrats for NOT MENTIONING IT. Like it has to be mentioned every freakin 5 seconds. Hasn't it been mentioned ENOUGH by the war mongers? Since we have not set about the task to take over the world, we don't need the 9/11 FEAR FACTOR.

I really hate those people, and hate goes against my personal ethics.

13. she definitely rocked th house and has shown she is a fighter but
to the larger audience that didn't see the warm and fuzzy video her speech washer introduction and a lot of people who watced tonight probably watched obama last week. i think what she did was present herself as a bitch with only attacks to offering the form of solutions to everyday problems. i think she might help as much as she will hurt

17. I Suspected They Pulled It. Because They Could Not Vet The Content
In other words, the danger of a biographical video about someone you do not know about, is that something blows up in your face.

20. There was no video
I don't believe they made a bio-vid.

Not enough material to make a video. Really - think about it.

Even if they could cobble enough together they'd need her to help with info, pics, etc. and they needed the time to get her camera ready and rehearsed with her speech.

21. Why would they put it on the schedule but drop it without announcement?
I think Rudy is to blame. They couldn't afford to go past prime time hours.

24. youtube
is sporting some bio work for her. Alaskan independence for example. She was leading it while she was GOVERNOR! Some bio she's got going. I would love to see them do one. I bet it would focus on child birth. There's nothing wrong with child birth, but I just don't want the world's problems to go back burner to her breast feeding. Priorities are f*cked up.
