Poll question: What will happen with Palin?
Me, I think we're gonna be seeing some really funny Harriet Meiers / Sarah Palin cartoons pretty soon one way or another.

2. She'll remain
The chance to throw her under the bus has passed. The only way they might still do that is if the affair pans out, and I think it would be too late at that point. If it is true, they'll probably just try to stonewall for eight weeks.

5. My god. 8 weeks... it just hit me that it's that close.
I've been out of the political scene for several months 'cause I just got burned out. 8 weeks. Dang.

3. I think she stays.
Unless something really bad comes out she's going to be there. The Republicans are going to go with the trick play.

9. I think she'll "withdraw" with the excuse of family pressures
and by withdraw I mean they'll push her ass out.

12. It's apparently the mcCain's team wish that she remain on the ticket
but after the speech in St. Paul, I think the next SEVERAL miles of highway are going to be rough and full of unexpected turns.

Maybe the National Enquirer affair story is a trap. But maybe it isn't.

And who knows what else McCain's team of attorneys will find -- the cadre he sent north a day or two ago.

And we haven't even gotten to the white-flame glare of media attention, press conferences, and interviews. They could keep her on a very tight leash but it's more trouble than it's worth when McCain needs a much more independent advocate. She doesn't have the savvy to politic in the contiguous states in the 24-7 cable news cycles. She's out of her league and then some.

I'd argue that anybody who storms into a public library to ask how to censor certain books is out of her league as a small-town mayor as well.

And finally there'll come the veep debate against Joe Biden.

McCain did himself no favors with the Palin pick.
