Today is his birthday and after last week he deserves our best wishes. I sent him birthday wishes and congratulated him on his excellent speech last week at the DNC.

On a side note: I share the same birthdate with Brian.:woohoo:

Could we keep this kicked for Brian, he deserves our support?.?.?

7. I was in tears earlier tonight because of what was happening during the RNC convention
I was so upset that the CorpoNewsMedia gave every speech major coverage, when just last week they talked over some of our best speakers, while claiming no one had any "red" meat:shrug: If they had been paying attention they would have known better.

10. I tried to by-pass the media talking heads as much as possible,
but of course they're everywhere.

Giuliani's demeanor tonight was the most singularly appalling speech I've heard in many moons. It was a torrent of bile and propaganda. I fashioned a fantasy in which I make a citizen's gesture of a "moral arrest" of Giuliani.

I understand a little partisan elbowing here and there. But I think his address bordered on sedition.

12. Well 9-11 Giuliani is the one who brought me to tears
I had to leave the room, I couldn't take the way he was demeaning my candidate.

Last week I watched ALL the convention on C-SPAN, because of the NewSpundits talking over everyone. However, I thought I would see how they treated the rethuglicons and was so angry and pissed off that they were giving them the public airwaves so the American people would get to hear them. The American people however did not get the perspectives of Democrats except we didn't provide any "red" meat.:grr:

I will be sending out emails to ALL of them. We should get a do-over. Or they should at least air their speeches in there entirety.

Brian gave one of the most compelling speeches of the convention.

13. Agree. Schweitzer was outstanding. If that guy is not a future president,
then I will be very surprised. A man of the people, of the prairie, and of the Founders, IMO.

I am not surprised that Giuliani was so full of bile and nastiness at one level, but it was a powerful dose.

Plus, we know a different country than the one he describes. It hurts to hear him besmirch the good work of others.

I donated to the DU Obama fund. I want some cash in Obama's hands to defeat this ugly ticket.

15. Maybe a can find a little extra cash to send Obama as well
He needs to be able to fight this trash. And send them all to the landfills where they belong.

Hopefully these speeches will turn off the American people.

I posted down thread my personal message to Brian.

16. Great letter.
He will appreciate it at the personal level first.

And congratulations -- and thank you -- for the precinct work.

That's the key to winning elections and I'm glad you're on our side and not the other one.

17. Ah shucks

I ended up running my precinct convention/caucus in March. What a nightmare that was, no one was there who knew what to do. I had attended 3 meetings/training sessions, so I decided to try and do what I could. When we went to vote at 3:00 and found out we didn't have a precinct chair we came home and did a last minute crash course. Went back at 6:30 and there was so much chaos. No one seemed to know what was going on. We prevailed and I ended up being the permanent secretary. The next day I delivered the paperwork to headquarters and was told we did everything correctly.

So, knowing we didn't have a precinct chair I decided to apply for the position. I was very apprehensive about making an official position, but I certainly didn't want there to be a vacancy. I will be there to make sure everyone votes with a paper ballot, we have both type of machines, but of course only one type has paper ballots.

I just hope we WIN this thing.

8. Here's my birthday wishes to him...
Happy Birthday Governor Schweitzer,

Today is also my birthday and I wanted to Wish YOU a Happy Happy Birthday.

I would also like to congratulate you on an EXCELLENT speech at the DNC. WOW, you had me in stitches. Thank goodness for C-SPAN, I got to hear your whole speech without the NewSpundits ignoring what you had to say, I even put your speech up on our website TarrantObama.org

I hope someday you decide to run for national office. I was really hoping that Senator Obama would have chosen you as his running mate, but I knew that probably wasn't a consideration, however, I thought with your background especially in the Middle East that you would have been a wonderful choice. Please continue to be an outspoken member of our party. I surely hope you get to campaign with Barack or Joe and C-SPAN covers it.

I'm certain Senator Biden will be a great VP.

This year I have become actively involved in the Democratic Party and became my Precinct Chair.

Take Care & Best Regards, and once again Happy Birthday!
