Why I had to stop watching Palin's speech |
|
A few hours ago I was listening to Palin's speech on the radio. It was annoying - she has this way of going *tch* before every other sentence that drives me batty, and overall I knew better public speakers who were running for high school student council - but I could handle that. What really got to me was this: Every time Palin mentioned bettering the country or helping people and then paused for applause, there was a sort of vague cheer from the audience. But every time she mentioned the War in Iraq, the audience exploded into loud, enthusiastic cheers and applause.
The war was exciting and wonderful for them. It's entertainment! Woo, yay, war!
I gave up in disgust.

2. They think they are Spartans |

Funny how Jesus didn't think that way.
In truth, they are cowards.

Go tell the Spartans, thou who passest by, That here, having broken every one of their laws, we lie. And lie. And lie.
