History says that the Republicans should get a bump in the polls from their convention. Personally, I am skeptical that they will due to the utter fiasco this week has been for them. Also, Obama's sizable bump may be due in part to independents getting their first look at Palin and running the hell away.
But there may very well be a bump. So we shouldn't panic.

1. I am sure the Main Stream Media will fabricate a bump for McCain |

The MSM wants this election to be a horse race, not a blow out. McCain will get his bump. The polls will be crafted to show the race to be neck-n-neck right up into October. All the time the buzz on the streets shows Obama to be ahead by a wide margin.
My private polls, very limited in scope mind you, show even long time Republicans are quietly admitting the won't vote for McCain. They openly support Gramps, but at time of stress, they admit they are going 'just vote for the other guy and get it over with'.
