I tried to watch but had to turn it off before Palin even got on stage.

I felt like I was in an alternate universe as I compared both conventions. One felt like a bright America ready for rebirth, the other a dark cave beneath a fallen Roman Empire.

I'm not a hardcore Democrat -- well, I wasn't until this week -- as I tried to be more independent-minded. I knew I wouldn't vote for McCain, and I am voting FOR Obama...not a protest vote in any way...but I tried to keep an open mind to see if the Republican party was redeemable in any way in their convention.

Couldn't stomach it. Kept throwing up a little bit in my throat.

Pure hate, OUTRIGHT LIES, blatant pandering to the willfully ignorant, small-minded people who follow them blindly because they can't think for themselves.

It's frightening, much more so than I realized. I thought I was in a vacuum, surrounded by those people where I live..."Obama is the antichrist" stickers everywhere...but there the same people were, live on national TV, spewing absolute filth yet not giving any hope for a better way at all.

Indeed, they don't WANT a better way. They want the same way, be it for Rapture purposes or something else, I don't know...but they like wallowing in shit but saying, "I don't want anyone to save ME."

Please, take your archaic, useless, unpatriotic ways and go somewhere else. Please. You clearly don't love America. YOU love the sound of your own voices, you worthless shells of human flesh.

NO HUMANITY. I saw no humanity in that convention center whatsoever.

None.

Short of a miraculous turnaround that injects humanity into their agenda, I will never even TRY to watch anything Republican again. Sorry, you guys will have to dive in and keep us informed, as I can't stomach it.

I am asking you to please keep us posted how this is playing in your area of the country, because I'm surrounded by the willfully ignorant.

2. I didn't watch for several reasons - first, I was at work and secondly, I didn't think

I could stomach it. Now, at 3:30 Pacific Time, I'm just now able to get on the internet and see how it went. Front pages, not surprisingly, told me it was ELECTRIFYING !

The real story is found here and is much what I expected: Electrifyingly sickening.

I've yet to meet anyone impressed by her, but then again, I'm in lovely California this week.

Next week, when I'm back in Tennessee, it might be a different story; although most people I talk to find her "scary and surreal".

The media spin on this is absolutely frightening.
