Palin will not have one unmanaged moment for the rest of this campaign.
The Republicans can't afford it. Her canned speech was so mean and so full of blatant lies that they will not be able to let her off the leash for fear that she will step on her tongue. She left a lasting impression last night of a pit bull (her characterization)on a leash with one of those studded collars, straining, snarling, blood dripping from her molars. She solidified the Republican Party's image as the mean Party, the party of pit bulls. Americans are decent people (I hope) and they are not going to like that.

Sarah the pit bull. Sarah the mother who drags her baby before a howling mob. Sarah the pit bull. Perfect and she did it to herself.

1. not only is she their pit bull...
...but they have no new ideas. All I heard was the same tired rhetoric that I have been hearing for more than thirty years. She will be carefully managed by her keepers. You don't want a pit bull out on its own, do you?

5. Yes. If you run into a Palin supporter today, ask them what she said
about the economy, national security, health care, jobs....nada!

2. I would like to see her actually interviewed in the media.
They will fail if they don't put her out there. They will fail if they continue this policy of not letting the media interview her.

4. This is what I've been saying,
although it sounds as if that speech was already written for the VP candidate before the convention and they just "modified" it for her. I do agree that she seems to be the type that, if you let her off the leash and tell her it's okay, she'll go for the jugular.

They're already staging her, just like Rove did Shrub. Tell me those photos yesterday, with the pregnant teenager and her well-groomed boyfriend, holding hands and looking so very precious, weren't posted? And that poor infant? I see Dad didn't hold him any better last night that the rest of the family has. I swear they think he's a sack of potatoes.

:puke:

6. Reminded me of Michael Jackson dangling his baby over the balcony
for a photo op.

8. What's ironic is that all this handling will show off her lack of independence.
Whereas Obama is just gonna let Biden rip. :D

9. I bet they continue to distance themselves from the press too.
McCain't hasn't spoken to the press in weeks, and Half-Baked Alaskan didn't make the rounds on the Sunday shows. She's definitely not ready for the big leagues.
