This has been a craptastic year-no need to go in to details.

This was also the year in which I made a decision to not give a crap about the Presidential election. (emphasis on was) I focused local. Not campaigning, just donating to local Dem politicians in order to support grassroots efforts-in the hope that someday I could believe in someone again.

All this week I have been reading about this Presidential Peyton Place as it gets more and more ridiculous, unbelievable and downright disgusting. A tromping of America, Americans, and our values.

This morning I made a decision. I'm not going to leave that box unchecked in November. I can't do that to my kids, or friends, or family. I can't sit back and throw away an opportunity to keep that which showed up at the Republican National Convention last night out of Washington.

So, Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden, you may not have my love and adoration, but you have my vote. And, right now, that's a lot for me to say.
