I'm sure the Enquirer will reveal the details in good time. I hope she tried to ban Harry Potter.

That would be embarrassing if it got out. Yeah, I'd want to sweep that under the sofa if I were she.

One of my locals libraries used to put a stack of books out that were banned and say why. It was always an interesting pile of books to stop at. I think we may have to ban the Bible as yesterday I heard this about The Book. He said ,it said, that a black man was going to take over this country and hand it over to the Muslims. I really did break out laughing as it was so funny.

Not a book, but a start. Probably the complete works of Tom Paine. Wollstonecraft's Vindication of the Rights of Women. Thoreau on Civil Disobedience. You know - the usual.

and thank whatever deity you wish for librarians. They are seriously holding down the fort.
They tried this in my city with the Mayor's approval. After I spoke at the library board meeting I had all the librarians on the board come up to me and tell me that not only did they appreciate a member of the public (there were 3 of us, all from the same organization) coming to speak they assured us that they would not ever allow knowledge to be taken away or made difficult to obtain. Thankfully there were enough of them on the board. Next time? We must always remain vigilant and ready to go speak when the Talibornagin get on their book banning horse.
Sorry for the hijack.
