RE: Now I know why they picked Palin |
I had an OMG moment last night...after the speech (after feeling like I needed to throw up) McCain selected her to be the "Piranha" who could draw blood...she is a female book burning, pro-life, religious cultist vampire...who says it with a sweet smile and caustic sarcasm.... AND this opinion coming from a Christian woman...a "homemaker of 26 years" and yes a housewife too...(oh yes there are still housewives...but I must admit few liberal ones....) I feel furious over the selection of Palin for VP ..they are using her....she didn't climb the ladder with experience...she got to where she was because she is a puppet for the Religious Right... This was all part of the plan...Press attacks her...they cry sexism...when they knew all along she was a shark...So this puts the Dems in a dilemma...we try to attack her for her lack of experience...Repubs cry sexism...even some of Hillary's old aides have chimed in on the sexism mantra...this was all part of the plan...and we are not careful Woman's rights will be thrown under the bus.....because you see ...I might be a housewife...but I am NOT stupid...I am a feminist and housewife by choice with two College Degrees.......women WILL lose ALL choice if we are not vigilant...I smell a RAT ....in the selection of Palin for VP ...and we stand to lose everything ladies...if we don't stand up and fight back...........

2. I believe we can attack her but it has to be on substance. I have seen sexism right here on DU |
when people say she should be staying home to raise her special needs baby and blaming her for ther daughter's pregnancy. Would we ever had said that about some of women Democratic icons? Would we ever had said that about any man?

3. It shouldn't be hard to attack her on the issues... |
...the fact is, she's an extremist. Actually, we should thank her for dropping the "cute, spunky, all-American small-town mom" image that might have been dangerous. The attack-dog persona she presented last night only makes it easier to spread the messsage that she's a religious and political extremist who thinks nothing of using power to settle scores, and isn't above bald-faced lying when it will aid her cause.

I think that was part of the plan...the Repub's witnessed sexism during the primary...and sexism did rise up..it does exist...and now are they using it to their own advantage? To promote the very agenda that threatens to send us back to the dark ages? Was the choice of Palin to gain sympathy when ugly sexism rose up as expected?...and rally women?...rally women with similar ideology? To rise up women on the cul de sac...the soccer moms? Most moms I know around the cul de sac ...are sick this morning after last nights speech...at the policies that Palin stands for and her caustic, sarcastic ...shark like attitude towards Obama...
