The GOP WANTS Dems to Attack Palin - It's Why She Was Chosen
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 07:07 AM by Vinnie From Indy
Palin was chosen to draw fire from Dems and Liberals. Even if she is ignored by the Left, the gargantuan right-wing media will try desperately to construe any criticism of her as a vicious attack by Dems on God, family, unwed mothers etc. Each hour that the media discusses Palin is one less hour they discuss the crimes and carnage of the Bush Administration.

I hope most Dems and the Liberal media ignore Palin and bring the discussion back to the issues that really matter. She is a Red Herring and a Judas Goat for the easily distracted.

1. Exposing the truth is NOT attacking.

3. Agreed
But, focusing on Palin is exactly what Karl Rove is hoping will happen.

10. Easy. Always end on bringing it back to McCain.
It shows that:

He puts self before country.
He will do the bidding of the neocons and religious fanatics.
He is no moderate.
He is erratic.

5. She is a bobble to be dangled before the Religious Right and the Dems
To convince the RR that the GOP still respects them and for the Dems to attack without thought or reason. So far Obama's team is playing it right. Focus on McSame and treat her as a nonproblem. Let her be the yappy puppy while the big dogs take care of business.

6. Main reason is to draw the sympathy vote ... after being "attacked"
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 07:18 AM by minnesota_liberal
According to the Reich Wing, questioning a candidate's credentials IS attacking.

Unless THEY'RE doing the questioning, of course.

I love that on Wednesday, McCain and his proxies were claiming that Palin had more executive leadership experience then Obama and Biden while simultaneously crying "Foul" when anyone pointed out Palin's lack of experience outside of Podunk, Alaska!

7. The more she is ignored, the more strident she will get, thus guaranteeing her failure
as the electorate responds in disgust to ensure that the U.S. doesn't get a 3rd Shrub term.

I trust their judgment. We'll see their strategy in the coming days.
