Obama can do a lot better than Robert Gibbs !
IMHO

Fine - they decided to agree this morning on MJ to say Palin did a great job.
Whatever.

BUT - he missed a golden opportunity. Sure, he could say her "performance" was
good. She trashed Obama adequately. But what people need to know is that
she wants to take away a woman's right to choose. She tried to ban books
in her local library. She doesn't believe in teen sex education.
Have
you noticed she conveniently didn't bring any of this up.

Gibbs just doesn't have enough skill at debating tactics and bringing up important
points and zingers. I switched to CNN and Begala was doing a great job at this.
And he was an avid Hillary fan to boot.

5. I actually thought he was great ...
I think he reflects BO - BO is one VERY zen kind of guy.

My take was that Gibbs reflects the inner circle of the BO campaign, which sees the Palin pick for the trainwreck it is, and is more than willing to let it play out a bit.

I said yesterday that the media would be trumpeting Palin reading a preprepared speech word for word, BO's campaign knows that, and they are more than willing to let the media fellaciate themselves to death today.

What Gibbs did, frankly, was CONTROL the interview. Everyone there was ready to have a blood fight, and he put everyone else on their heels.

2. Gibbs is very good, but he was not on his game this morning.
Look, dude knew he was going on the morning shows just to be the sacrificial lamb. His whole reason for being there, and he knows it, is to be laughed at and skewered by the "independent" Joe Scab and his ilk.

How thrilled would YOU be to go to work this morning if you were him?

.

4. I would have jumped at the opportunity. Look McPain and Palin
are NEVER going to say all the bad things they believe in. We have to.

If we can't get someone with some balls on TV to bring these things up

WTF

3. My gut response was similar to yours, But.....

Team Obama keeps on pulling out aces at the last minute.

It's often seemed like Omaba and Company are being too nice or too passive or not tough enough. But so far, Obama has managed to pull out a diamond and keep moving the ball toward the goal post.

It's like last week's Dem Convention. At first it seemed like a botched mishmash. But by the end of the week, it was clear that Obama was playing chess while the rest of us were playing checkers.

6. maybe you are right. maybe any negative talk whatsoever
would have fueled the Palin frenzy. Maybe that was the decision - let it
fizzle. But I still don't think dropping the fact that's she's against
choice - every single time any of our advocates are on TV would hurt - but
would only help educate.

8. I agree -- He needed to attack her issues (not her) and he didn't. :(

9. Right! softly agree- "She's a great attack dog speaker - BUT what
people need to know is she wants to ban books and she refuses to allow women the right to choose!"

Andrea Mitchell is showing her true colors - she is a repuke not a reporter - because she
is not asking any questions about her beliefs - just allowing all these repukes to
say whatever bullshit they want.
