OMG - freeper jerk at work just said he'd pick Palin out of the four to be pres.
He said he listened to the speech last night and he said she has done in Alaska what everyone else only talks about doing for the lower 48.

I'm sitting here and I bet my BP just went up over 200. I gotta get my headphones on and crank up the volume. I just can't take his shit today after hearing everything last night. I did just get a call from a friend who asked me some more stuff about Biden. She said there is an article or letter in the News Journal today that needs to be refuted re: the death of his wife/daughter and lying about it.

Gotta go check that out. I haven't read the paper this morning.

3. Relax, jesus christ!
There are TONS of people like this. Relax, breathe. Donate to Obama.

If I had this kind of reaction each time I heard something wingnutty, I would have been dead at 15.

4. OK take the number of Americans and muliple it by $3333.33
and that would be the amount of extra debt she would sink the Country into. Then take the $200 million in pork barrel spending she wasted in Alaska and figure out what that works out to at the federal level. I believe that works out to something like $100 billion of pork barrel spending a year.

5. He's spent as much time sizing her up as did McCain prior to selecting her.
Remind him of that.

7. Proof that Bush lowered the bar on what one expects from a president
It seems that now all you need to do is hold some "executive-style" position for a year or so and run a business into the ground and people will gladly hand you the keys to the White House.

Unbelievable.

10. I had a similar experience yesterday
I work with dietitians and nurses and politics is not usually discussed; somehow during a group break yesterday the discussion started up about how wonderful it was that a woman was on the republican ticket. I usually keep quiet during these conversations because I'm not a good arguer, but at the point when one of them said, "well if McCain's health goes bad we'll have a 44 year old female as president." At which point I said, "yes and that is probably the scariest thing I have heard all day." They all turned as a group and looked blankly at me, like "what do you mean?" All I could say at that point was that she was far too conservative for me and that her "experience" was like running our mayor as president (I live in a town of about 6000). It makes it hard for me to go to work... I like my job but knowing how they are now makes me feel depressed... I wish I could cast 4 votes to cancel these women out.
