How do we stop them from stealing the election?
I sincerely want to know.

There is no way they can win it without stealing it and Rove is working it as we speak.

15. My cousin worked the Primary in Philly
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 12:29 PM by goclark
He said the turn out was awesome but Rendell and his crew managed to suppress the votes there and all over PA.

Long, lines and many didn't get to vote because there were games played by the Democratic party bosses.

Now we should only have to deal with the Rethugs.

We have so much work to do in this area.

Thanks for your input.

5. Several ways
GOTV
volunteer for election protection (contact your state democratic party)
vote early
vote on paper if possible
If we are 5 points up work like we are 10 points down
Do not let the lies go unanswered
Make sure that your county BOE has not had any voter purges
See if any voter caging has gone on in your area ..... call your state GOP and ask if you
can talk about voting to somebody .... when they get on the line be nice and b.s. for
a little bit and then ask for their name after that ask if they are doing any voter caging

6. Excellent ~ Does the Obama Campaign have a to do list
that would help us with this "Must Do" list for every single voter.

Does DU have a FORUM that address just this issue?

I may be flamed but I have visited the Forum here and they are so technical with all of their ideas/responses that the average person can't digest it.

They were not too nice to me when I posted there about two months ago.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

11. Voter Registration is the key but in our neighborhoods

that are African American the lines are so long, the polling places get moved like a game of checkers, the Seniors can't get to the polls and on and on.

Because this is such a massive election it will be worse.

One friend of mine worked on "FRAUD and VOTER SUPPRESSION" as a lawyer for the Obama Campaign in Ohio. He said that there were "Massive Dirty Tricks" arranged by Rendell. They couldn't work fast enough to make a dent in the evil Rendell's tricks.

This time Rendell should be on our side and perhaps ROVE won't out slick him.

16. Just found this at the Obama website
"We’re excited to announce a new online voter registration tool, www.voteforchange.com. VoteForChange.com makes it easier than ever to check your own voter registration, make sure your registration information is correct and up-to-date, and soon it will even be able to find your specific polling location. You can also sign up to vote early, apply to vote absentee, and find out what you need to bring with you to the polls on Election Day."

I used the www.voteforchange.com process and it was really fantastic!

"If you’re not registered to vote yet, go to www.voteforchange.com and register to be part of the political process this election."

Please pass the information along to everyone you know.

We must get out the VOTE!

12. Thanks for sharing my fears ~ Obama must have a
plan in place and if he does on his website, I don't see it.

Help somebody.

The Obama site should have a list, by State and County, of a STEP BY STEP Process for everyone to follow.

I am so afraid.

17. 1 way to stop election theft -- Get involved as a Poll Worker act.credoaction.com
http://act.credoaction.com/pollworkers/index.html

Pollworkers for Democracy is an effort to recruit, train, and network 5,000 citizen pollworkers for the November 4, 2008 election and beyond. Official pollworkers have a vital role in running fair, accountable elections in which all eligible voters are able to cast their ballots and have them counted.

Update: New Voter ID laws increase need for qualified pollworkers

On April 28th, the Supreme Court upheld Indiana's strict voter ID law, which requires all voters to present photo ID at the polls. This has opened the floodgates for other states to implement their own stringent laws. If voters don't present the correct ID, they will have to vote provisionally, which greatly increases the likelihood that their votes won't be counted at all. So who makes the decisions about which voters get to vote on Election Day and which have to vote provisionally.
