The pundits, as usual, are missing a huge point. While Palin, Rudy, etc, |

have thrown out red meat to the Repuke base, they have also thrown out red meat of a different flavor to the liberal/progressive base. They think the right is shored up? They haven't seen anything. The hateful, nasty and divisive tone from last night, with the mocking and demeaning lies will do nothing but shore up the left. And right now, we have the stronger organization. It will just mean that more money pours in, more people volunteer, more people vote.

I came away with just one thought after I sat and tried to ruminate on it. They're frickin' MEAN. They're just plain ol' MEAN. Can only insult, deride, and dismiss. And I think it will backfire, as even CNN's Bill Schneider, who's a senior fellow at the accursed American Enterprise Institute, couldn't help noticing (more specifically about giuliani - not sure what he thought of palin): http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/09/03/schneider-giuliani%e2%80%99s-ugly-approach-may-backfire/#commentsMy take, just for the heck of it: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6922745
