Did Sarah Palin excel academically anywhere?
From reading various online sources, Palin went to Wasilla High School, with no mention of her graduating with honors or any kind of distinction. She got a scholarship to attend college from getting second place in a beauty pageant. Palin first attended Hawaii Pacific College (now University), then went to North Idaho College (a community college) then the University of Idaho.

Bottom line: while she comes across as being reasonably intelligent, she's going to need to be a near-genius to learn what she needs to know to stand up to Joe Biden in a debate. I for one doubt she's up to it. This is the woman who told an interviewer she hadn't thought much about the Iraq War as of late 2006.

1. It doesn't matter; she's had executive experience...
Just like the night manager at my local 7-11,

and dammit! That's all that counts!

Stop with this elitist crap about education!

(Apparently the education reached by the median
populace of Alaska is grade 10.. by local standards
she's achieved a great level.. but she's out of her league.)

What IS pathetic is that she's being feted by the party
for her wonderful gifts of leadership.

2. Basketball
She was a point guard in a small town high school. How many girls do you suppose even tried out for the team?

3. News Flash! Academic Excellence
does not matter to most of the American electorate. In fact, to most, it's considered detrimental. They want someone in office they can have a beer with.

5. If she had done well academically, they'd be burying that...
as fast as they're burying her legitimate scandals.

Remember, these people are willfully ignorant, and damn proud of it.

6. In Wasilla, graduating from high school IS a distinction

She was rated highly on her application to admission to art school, after her moving depiction of "Sparky" from a match book cover.
