IMO the BEST way to tackle Palin is with the truth |

She needs to be presented as a person that constantly lies, on the bridge to nowhere, about Obama's tax cut plan, even back to troopergate in Alaska, she needs to be portrayed, as a person who doesn't tell the truth, this should be repeated in ads and by every democratic surrogate on teevee. One of Obama's big gaps over McCain right now in several polls is taht he's seen as more honest and trustworthy, we should seek to widen this gap. The narrative needs to be that she has a problem representing herself truthfully (or a liar less artfully) that will negate her other strengths. The very first criteria that many use when voting for someone for president is "can I trust this person sufficiently enough to attempt to do what they promise that I will vote for them", If we destroy that sense of trust, all of the rest will follow (particularly among independents) in my view

1. Agreed. This is a tricky situation, and one too important to be flippant about. |

It's fun on DU to ridicule our opponents, but the swing votes out there want facts and solutions.
In today's Republican Party, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman could have swept it all. Who knew?
BTW, use McCain's comments about teenager Chelsea whenever the heats on about keeping families out of this.
