What was the phony sales pitch they used to sell Bush in 2000? |
|
I know they said he was a uniter who would have a humble foreign policy approach but does anyone remember the rest of the phony sales pitch?

He was a rancher -- bought in '99; sold in '08 -- and a Washington outsider -- ignoring his father, grandfather and that expert staff.

"Who would you want to have a beer with." And it worked. They voted for their buddy. Now they want women to vote for their girlfriend. Sheer stupidity.

adults --not the childish, immature and irresponsible Clinton crew -- would be running the White House. And meetings will start on time! And there won't be pizza boxes on the floor!
And who could forget the infamous "charm offensive," when Bush wanted to pass favored legislation? And how he "governed in a bipartisan manner" when he was gov. of Texas (which Molly Ivins rightly pointed out that Bush would pick off one or two weak (or blackmail-able)Dems, ram the legislation through like a dictator and then claim bipartisan support.
