I'm curious to know how much Sarah Palin emphasized a good education to her kids.
Because it doesn't seem like they are college bound.

Also, she wanted creationism taught in the classroom.

2. I'm guessing she emphasized getting by on good looks or being good at sports

she does have good looking kids, but that is no substitution for having well educated kids.
why are republicans so anti-education anyway? I don't get it.

11. Because the better educated people are, the less likely they are to vote Republican
Our masters want a populace that's easy to control.

3. Republicans focus on "manners" and "values", not on the development of intelligence.
They truly don't believe in academical and intellectual growth.

6. I didn't see any good manners or Christian values last night.
I saw mean people attacking others for being community organizers. I saw people lying through their teeth about their own and other people's actions. I saw a swarm of old white people cheering for a POW - the same swarm that made fun of a Vietnam veteran's service to his country the last time they met.

I expected it to be a discouraging sight. It exceeded my expectations. It was lower than low.

4. I thought the oldest son couldn't get through his freshman year at
college and that is why he joined the Army. Others say the army stint was adjudication for a vandalism charge against him as a monor.

7. He got into college? I heard his under 2.0 GPA kept him out of the Univ of Alaska.

8. BINGO, one can't get into college, the other one a single teen mom - not good parenting

5. She said that she joined the PTA to improve her children's education.
That hasn't worked out very well for her two eldest. Her daughter is a teenage pregnant drop-out, her daughter's baby daddy is a high school drop-out, and her son is headed to Iraq instead of going to college. Also, it's not even clear that he has a high school diploma.

9. I am having trouble with her not encouraging her daughter to give up...
...her baby for adoption and to finish her HS education and go on to college.

10. Well they've all been in Minneapolis for about a week now.
I assume school has started back in Alaska. Shouldn't they be enrolled and attending? This is Bristol's senior year, but it doesn't look like she'll be going back any time soon. The two younger girls probably have their hands full with the baby. I saw that little girl spitting on her hands and rubbing the little guy's head with it last night. I hope he gets better care than that at home, but I doubt it. These people make the average family on Springer appear normal.

12. Their Party is running on 'Family Values' and they pimp their family as an example?
While condemning alternative families? They will not allow gay people marry let alone
adopt. They hide their adopted daughter. They cast moral judgement on people and set their families
as an example of leadership and someone to follow.

13. I read that the boyfriend
is a high school dropout. Education doesn't seem all that important in the circles the Palins run with.

15. She sure seems like a great candidate to speak about education

1. Creationism taught in schools
2. Family values issues with oldest son, Bristol
3. Academic issues with oldest son - sub-2.0 and Bristol, who is facing becoming a mother instead of graduation, college is in question
4. She and her husband spend more time working - in her case, politicking, than raising her family and teaching them anything about life
5. Daughters baby-daddy is a high school drop-out.

Yeah, that's the type of person I want leading my country and implementing educational policy. :sarcasm:

I would like to see her own academic record, to be quite honest. If they can dig through Obama's past with reckless abandon, I don't believe its too much to ask for the same from her.
