Bush was from Outside Washington. |
|
And we all know how that's worked out.
When are the comparisons to Bush going to start?
This is like Deja Vu.
Bush was a reformer, outside Washington, had executive experience, a regular guy, etc.

1. Bush an outsider? Not really. He got his support from his daddy's |

rolodex. His executive experience was almost nil since the Governor of Texas job is mostly ceremonial, the Lieutenant Governor does all the work. What he was was a failed businessman that was always living off the coattails of daddy and being bailed out by the same friends of daddy. Take a close look at the Texas Rangers deal and the people that backed him for Governor. That tells the story of Little George.
