I bet Obama's going to have some major announcement tomorrow.
He's a master showman, and knows how to get the spotlight back on his campaign.

He's probably had something in the works for weeks, if not months.

What do you suppose it is?

10. not going to happen

ANnouncing cabinet appointees ahead of time would be a huge error. It would distract from the efforts to uncover more about Palin by giving the media new targets. Even though the names you mention have been pretty well vetted in the public, there would be stories about their pasts (Richardson, for example, has some baggage apparently, and Chris Dodd has a past as well) that would be too enticing to the media.

At this stage of the campaign, the goal is to keep the focus on the candidates, not on others.

A Powell endorsement would be big.

21. PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE

I am no Powell fan, but if he gives Obama the endorsement, what a pick off. Powell is pro choice on abortion so maybe the whackjobs of that party have finally broken his spirit.

14. I know he's not popular here..
but if he can be used to sway remaining undecideds and independents, I'd love to see this happen.

Think of the media fanfare after such an endorsement; it could kill or significantly dampen any bounce that McCain would get from his acceptance speech.

23. If he doesn't do it then he's the cowardly piece of shit I always said he was.
This is one time when I'd love to be proven wrong.

5. Present
It would be funny if Obama response to questions about the Republican Nation Convention with one word - "Present". It could defuse the voting issue that Republicans are trying to use against him.
