Gallup Daily: No Dent in Obama Lead So FarObama holds 7-point lead in latest resultsUSA Election 2008 Gallup Daily Americas Northern America PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama continues to hold a lead over John McCain, 49% to 42%, in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update.
This was a poll from Sept. 1 through Sept. 3. In all fairness it would not have included Sarah Palin's speech.

since her speech was purely red meat for the base, I don't see how it would help McCain much if any past the circa 40% figure he's at.
The race seems to have both parties with a solid 40% and the other 20% is in play but still seems to be leaning Obama.

McCain has been running thousands of TV negative ads. Seems to be not working.
