Chuck Todd-"Conservatives find their Obama." |
|
Really? 'Cause all I saw was someone reading a speech largely written for a man and tweaked to add parts about herself. She was NOTHING like Obama. She had no inspirational message, no plans for the future, just attack after sarcastic attack and lie after lie.
Why doesn't anyone ever point out Obama wrote his own speeches-including not only last Thursday's, but his '04 Keynote Address, his speech on race, and his speech on patriotism? Shouldn't his surrogates be pointing that out when the Repubs. claim he's good at reading a teleprompter/giving a speech?

3. No kidding. Obama is more than just a great speechmaker, no matter how much the media is determined |
|
...to try to pigeonhole him as that.
And your point about Obama writing all his major speeches, while Palin's speech was written by a former member of the Bush administration for her to read is a good one. But television doesn't care about facts, it only cares about appearances. Our vapid media is the primary reason America has become so dumb over the past 20 years.

Todd has been comparing last night's attack-dog effeort with Obama's 2004 keynote. Obama's speech was an address to unify the nation; Palin's just trying to keep it torn apart.

49. Oh how disgusting of Todd to say! An airhead reading sarcastic RNC sitcom speech? |
|
That is really disappointing to read. What a grotesquely dumb comment from Chuck Todd. Or it shows how little regard Chuckie has for conservatives if he thinks that show last night was as inspiring as Barack Obama's.
Palin just read the sarcastic and sentimental speech written by RNC fratboys, with timing for the laugh tracks on cue. Standard slam the liberals material with little regard for the truth or the seriousness of the occasion. Perky McBubbles was cute doing the sitcom speech. Then doing the gosh, folks, it's POW time, poignant face.
Maybe Chuck thinks all conservatives are just Limbaugh types-- it won't bother them if she's a fundamentalist Christian who believes creationism should be taught in science class. It won't bother them that she gave money back to Wisalla citizens and then left the town $20 million in debt. That a bipartisan group of legislators called for an investigation of her firing of the trooper. That she asked city officials to sign loyalty oaths to her. That she thinks the Iraq war was directed by God. Etc Etc.
