Sarah Palin ran for Lieutenant Governor of Alaska in 2002 while still Mayor of Wasilla. She used town resources to begin her campaign. When she made her initial filing 2/8/2002, with the Alaska Public Offices Commission, she used a City of Wasilla email address [e-mail] and the fax number 373-9096 for the City of Wasilla as her candidate/campaign contact information. When she filed a Form 8871 with the IRS as a Political Organization (Notice of Section 527 Status) she used another City of Wasilla email account [e-mail] in her contact information ...
