Oh, gag me. Now the Rs are the party standing for the disabled?
Brian Williams and Andrea Mitchell going on about how Palin gave a shout out to parents of disabled children and that they have not had such a representative before. Oh, puke. After all these years of trying to dismantle every program under the sun. * stripped the funding for newborn hearing screening programs which could get children into early education sooner and lessen the problems they experience later on in life. How many families do I know who have had to fight tooth and nail for their children with disabilities. How about parity for those with CMI? How about care for those same children when they grow up? How much of the homeless and prison population is made up of people with CMI who cannot get the proper treatment they need?

If we let them get by with this bullshit, we will deserve a trouncing.

2. Where is the backup that Palin cut funding to children of special needs
by about 60%?

Someone posted some info here. We could deluge the networks with the truth.

9. Soledad O'Brian actually pointed out the disconnect between what
Palin said and her cuts to special needs programs with a McCain surrogate this morning. (Sorry, it was new blonde bloviator and I don't remember her name).

The surrogate just kept saying that Palin was a woman of her word and we should take her at her word. Didn't have any defense of the cuts that had been made. Soledad pushed her on it at least three times, and never got a straight answer.
