Call me sexist but I am predicting a huge loss of male support for mcsame |
|
Palin's speech struck me as that nagging voice in the background when you are trying to watch the game.
Nothing attractive about it at all.
Bitchy is the word that comes to mind.
I am sure I am not alone.

3. I dunno, sexist men tend to think with their penises... |
|
...and if someone is bigoted enough to vote against a woman because of the way her voice sounds, there is an equal chance that same kind of person would support her simply on the basis of her being attractive.
Sometimes, being a man makes me ashamed.

Its just that I know and encounter a lot of other males that think that way and act that way. Men like that give the rest of us a bad reputation.

him with the way she sets her lower jaw and lower lip when she thinks she made a great point or when she slings an insult. She reminds him of that thing that Dimson** does with his bottom lip when he's made a caustic or totally arrogant comment.

I expect Palin to be a wash with women but appeal to younger male independents.
Professional wrestling fans.
As many women will see throgh her as not, but men love the idea of a woman with a gun.

I see her as appealing to some young people, mostly male, who support Obama only genrationally because McCain is so old and out of it.

Last night I was surrounded by a herd of Democratic women, including a few former Hillary supporters, and they uniformly abused Sarah Palin in much stronger terms than I've heard from most D-men.

37. Not my husband. He said that the speech was empty. He wasn't |
|
as annoyed by her voice as I was. But he said he didn't find anything in her speech that dealt with solving the problems we face today.
And let me tell you, he hasn't been as "into" this election as I have been. But he did listen to every second of Obama's speech and Palin's speech and he said there is absolutely NO comparison.
Heh heh. Now he's on the Obama bandwagon, too. Of course he would have voted for the dem no matter what but he is always hesistant to invest too heavily in a candidate. And he is always more open to listening to what the repukes have to say, even when he really disagrees with them.
So, I trust his reaction completely and it really says something about Palin's lack of knowledge and lack of ideas about what the country needs.

what, exactly, ARE her qualifications for being selected over Romney or Huckabee.
Her job is to keep McCan't on task, focused, and "interested" and the men of America know it.

|
I bet there are many repubs very nervous about a woman in that position (which includes their women). You know, at her age, she could be going through menopause soon, and you know how that, and that time of the month, makes women unstable and that's why they haven't held the top positions in the past and why the feminists are crazy and going against nature. I've heard that sentiment for years.

along with confidence she would have been okay. But lying through her teeth in an annoyingly grating voice was just awful. And I could only stand it for a couple of minutes.
Edited to say that my husband LIKES Hillary but had NOTHING good to say about Palin. And he watched pretty much the whole thing, because I couldn't. He said that was no THERE there. Nothing but bitching (in the non-sexist use of the term).

the truth is, republican men will start to turn on McCondo.. because, even though they think the little lady is a hottie, they will NOT be comfortable with her sitting in the white house, should McOldie keal over. Republican men you see at the convention are posing for the cameras right now, but come election time, they will stay home. That's my prediction.
