Palin took such a sarcastic, mean-spirited, uber-partisan and lecturing tone that I think she turned off a lot of independents. But we need to make sure everyone remembers how over-the-top angry she was in her first major national speech.
Hence, while I really like the nickname “Caribou Barbie,” I think I will refer to her instead as “Angry Sarah Palin.” I think we all should do that.

... no matter what she did or said. But I was surprised by just how shrill and hectoring the tone of her speech was.

That's my take...sure, may sound sexist but think of this: What's more sexist, calling her exactly what she is or the person who picked her to capitalize on some mythical notion that Hillary voters will vote for ANY woman?
