1. Hmmm, so the Enquirer is allowed to destroy John Edwards but not
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 01:32 PM by Cleita
Sarah Palin. I believe the issue is already out in the news racks.

11. uh, first of all clearly the Enquirer IS allowed to "destroy" Palin
As you noted, the issue is out, and furthermore, the Enquirer told McCain to fuck off. Oh, and Edwards destroyed himself.

2. I doubt racists and stupid voters will give a shit.
Bush murdered thousands and they didn't bat an eye. As long as she shoots moose and does whatever else everyone here is up in arms about they'll still get votes.....lots of them.

13. I think men will care
It may not make them vote for Obama but they will either stay home or vote for a third party. Either way, it helps Obama.

4. Yep. Heard that yesterday. I LOL! My guess is that the Enquirer
gets at least 1 or more threats like that every week! The only time a law suit is effective is when the story is untrue or is slander! The Enquirer is NOT as easily muted as the MSM is. In fact, I'd bet talk like that encourages them to keep on digging!

15. Yes, I don't see how the campaign can sue--
She would have to do it.

6. It's on their front cover on newsstands today
One thing about the Enquirer...they have a TEAM of attorneys who look at every story they print. They print so much stuff, both nuts and sometimes real, they must look at every story so they don't get sued and lose.

They wouldn't jump into this if they didn't think there was truth to it.

8. haven't heard anything
but the right would spin it in hilarious fashion:

"Sarah demonstrated her unwavering commitment to family and to the sanctity of marriage by staying with Todd through good times and bad."

or

"these are private, family issues. the palin's do not deserved to be viscously attacked by the leftist media, the angry left, and evil bloggers!"

10. John McCain didn't have an adulturous running mate when he was a POW
He was deprived and suffered. Therefore, we must applaud the fact he can finally enjoy having an adulturous running mate now.

12. Sara Palin will be on the cover of various trash magazines
at least from now until November. If she becomes the VP, she will be on the covers as long as she is in office. Unfortunately, so will her children.

20. Trash magazines? I think when you or your kids act trashy and are in the public eye, beware.
I am sure the tabloids would do no less for Democratic trashy behavior -- and they have.

14. We need to concentrate on her jobs and abuse of power in Alaska, not the affair. Affairs happen, and
public likes to forgive. We need to take apart her credentials. Chris Shays, who is usually a stand-up GOP, just bashed Obama.

I've had it!

what on God's earth are you talking about? An affair is a campaign killer.
