OBAMA'S speech got a few hours of coverage. Palin's speech has been getting coverage for DAYS! |
|
McCain stepped on Obama's speech by announcing his VP pick the morning after Obama's historic, SELF-WRITTEN speech. Since last Friday, not only has the media been talking about Palin and what she'd have to say in her speech, they've (of course) been talking about it non-stop since last night. If McCain doesn't get a HUGE bounce out of all that, we can rest assured he'll lose despite the hype.

No moderates or Independents. Certainly no Democrats. No minorities or women.
She is hardly an Obama.

that they keep showing it. The more people exposed to this hoe the more people will hate her. And they will be excited to vote against her. Everyone hates a mean onoxicous shrill woman. the people who like her are the ones who would never vote for Obama no matter what.

18. huh? its been 18 hours. And the discussion for the last week wasn't about her speech. |
|
In terms of lead in, there was plenty of coverage of Obama's historic speech leading up to it, and it was mostly positive (except for the silliness of the greek temple crap). Most of the lead in for Palin since she was named hasn't been about her speech, its been about her lack of experience, her pregnant teenager and other issues.
Yes, she's getting more post-speech coverage. BUt that's not surprising given that (a) pretty much no one had ever heard her before (unlike Obama, who has been campaigning for a year) and (b there isn't any big news coming out to bounce that coverage off the "front page" like there was with McCain's announcment of Palin.
Just notin' the facts. Frankly, the coverage of her speech has been better -- pointing out the misstatements, characterizing it as an "attack" speech -- than I expected. Not great or even good, but better than what I feared it would be.
