If Palin doesn't help McCain win,
will republicans thrown Rush under the bus for foisting her upon the ticket?

Just wishful thinking.

1. I haven't heard that Rush was involved...
I've heard it was James Dobson and the conservative evangelicals

Link?

2. They'll flock to his radio station and ask him to crap out an extra zesty giant turd
for them to feast upon. Even though Palin was Rush's special project for McCain that he's been pushing for weeks, I think that even her complete failure wouldn't interrupt Republicans from worshipping his fat ass. With the mentally damaged crowd, he can do no wrong.

4. No. They know McCain will lose. Palin is the chosen basis for party building afterward.
