There've been times on this forum when I got upset cause I saw the perfect opening to deck McCain and Obama's Team let em slide.

It seems like everytime Team Obama lays back, they're just gathering intelligence for the next attack.

I think some of the stuff that hits McCain is also stealth bombing.

McCain seems to be into carpet bombing.

If I knew more about fighter jets and planes... I'd flesh out the analogy.

3. Dems had better start playing hardball, because the Rs clearly are.
If O & B are just going to "go the high road" like Gore and Kerry both did, then they had better keep their day jobs. Politics is war, not chess. The Rs play not just to win, but to kill. Even though the Dems may not like it, they have to play hardball, and play nasty, even "unfair" in order to win. The Rs certainly are.

6. they started laying groundwork last week. Kerry said McCain was a prisoner of the rightwing
he also said he was erratic- not a maverick.

And behind the scenes they've started to seed the ground for questioning McCain's temperament.

4. Apropos, since McCain was a carpet bomber
And apparently not a very good one at that.

7. As far as Palin goes, it had to surprise them as much as it did us.
We have an advantage in that we can dig up all her info and air it as it emerges, so it seems like Obama is waiting too long, or slow on the uptake. But a campaign can't do that, and has to check everything out first. One thing the Obama campaign was so good at in the primary was well-orchestrated factual attacks, usually directed at what's perceived to be the opponent's biggest strength. I have no doubt anymore that they're going to pick an effective angle of attack, and that they have facts to back it up.

Patience is a good thing, but apparently most political junkies aren't Kung Fu fans. Where's Master Po when we need him?
