Saw a great response on community organizers today
"Jesus was a community organizer. Pontius Pilate was a governor.

I'm just sayin'."

6. Christians ARE called to model their behavior on that of Jesus.
So we're going to criticize Obama for trying to do what he can for others?

3. Community organizers are the army of people who...
Edited on Thu Sep-04-08 03:44 PM by snacker
fight homelessness, poverty, and hunger among our fellow citizens everyday. They may not wear uniforms, but they are the brave warriors who work tirelessly each day in our neighborhoods (and for little money) to help lift people up from despair. I know...my daughter is one of them and I couldn't be prouder of her.

and others? You know, "less government!"

Basically, I'm for it on the grounds that they are on much weaker theological and moral grounds than we are.

Responding to their attacks on "Jesus and Obama et al the Community Organizers" can be handled politely and to our advantage.

There is a wedge between honest Republicans and Re :puke: s and that wedge IS Religion. Let's drive it into the black heart of their murdering, idolatorous, blaspheming, hypocritical Pharisees and pound the Re :puke: base into the smallest fragment we can.

And most of all, Religion is where much of their Racism and BIGOTRY against Homosexuals COMES from and we can't talk about that unless and until we courageously, and politely!!!, engage them on Religion.

Let's roll!

19. Obama's response was MUCH better
OBAMA: How can they think that is not relevant? Who are they fighting for if they think fighting for workers in the community is not important?

(He keeps pulling himself out of the fire. As to Palin's attacks, he said "I've been called worse things of the basketball court." I LOVE this guy.)

23. "Ive been called worse things on the basketball court"
that is a great response, and anybody who has played any organized basketball beyond the middle school level will know that is true.

But, makes me recall a funny incident where I shut up a bigot - he was an excellent white basketball player and all around athlete (he could throw a baseball 90+ mph, but his best pitch was his curve)... but, he was a terrible bigot and not very bright.

So, he was complaining about how all the n-----s were trash talking when they played basketball with him, and he hated how all these n-----s would be trash talking and ruining the game.

My response was that Larry Bird was one of the biggest trash talkers in the NBA, and was well known for it.

Didn't hear him complain about it.

"Republicans will uphold and defend our party’s core principles: Constrain the federal government to its legitimate constitutional functions. Unleash the power of enterprise, innovation, civic energy, and the American spirit — and never pretend that government is a substitute for family or community. But nix the farking organizers, ferchrissakes."

Okay... so I take liberties...
