Palin: "they want to make government bigger" while Alaska is #1 state for fed dollars.

Nothing explains the hypocrisy of the Republicans more clearly than a Republican governor from Alaska complaining about the size and wasteful expenditures of the Federal budget while Alaska receives more per capita from the Federal Budget than any other state. And while Alaska is awash with petro dollars it sends large checks to the residents of the states while the citizens of the other states continue to spend billions to help build up their infrastructure.

Palin's statement:

http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/09/04/america/04palin-speech.php?page=3

What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ...

Alaska's largess in Federal dollars:

http://www.stateline.org/live/ViewPage.action?siteNodeId=136&languageId=1&contentId=15797

Uncle Sam doled out the most federal aid to Alaskans per capita in fiscal 2003 while Virginia got the most bucks in federal contracts, according to new U.S. Census Bureau data released Oct. 7.

Overall, per-capita federal spending among states was highest in Alaska, which took in more than $12,200 per person, followed by Virginia, Maryland, New Mexico and North Dakota. Nevada ranked last with more than $5,000 in per-capita federal aid. Minnesota, Wisconsin, New Hampshire and Indiana rounded out the bottom five.

Think how much we could save in federal dollars by cutting Alaska off from infrastructure investment. It appears that they do not appreciate the assistance given by the other 49 states to help build their infrastructure, they ridicule the money that is given to them and refuse to spend their own petro dollars for it.

I wonder how many billions of dollars Alaskans will lose in Federal Dollars for their governors FU speech last night.

She was for the earmarks and the bridge until it became expedient to be against it. Now she is against the bridge but keeping the money. Lets get a plane and send her back up to Alaska so she can cut a check and repay the money for the bridge that she now says that she doesn't want.

13. E - N - O - U - G - H ! ! !
I'm still trying to get over reading about Chile, Argentina, Indonesia, and Brazil in Naomi Klein's Shock Doctrine.

What do you suppose the nation of Alaska would be like up there with the polar ice caps gone, year round, and the tundra thawed? How many Special Needs kids do you think they'd let immigrate to the sovereign nation of Alaska?

6. All the blue states support the red states
And it's the red states that complain about government spending. Hypocrisy abounds. I guess we could stop sending money to them and see what happens. LOL

8. That is a fact that needs to be made clear to the "red" states...
that are always complaining about welfare and taxes. How about they walk their talk and try paying their own way? Let's see how that works out for them.
