1. Actually it's going down because they realize that Obama will win....
Studies show that the market virtually always goes down when the incumbent party in the WH is ready to lose, regardless of party in and party out of power.

2. these posts linking the market to palin's speech are stupid
Today's market drop is the fourth largest of the year. Go check the news around the time of the other large drops. In some cases you'll see things related to the presidential election that you certainly wouldn't want to be tied to the market's reaction. But that's what you're inviting with this nonsense.
