George W. Bush was governor of a BIG state with a BIG population.
He commanded the Texas National Guard. Etc, etc. Blah, blah, blah.

So much for that argument.

4. The Texas Governor is mostly a figurehead.
Bush was being run by Bobby Jack Perry, the Wylie brothers, et al.

They, in turn, controlled Bob Bullock. He was the one who was running the Show.

7. Nevertheless,
Bush took the credit if any was due (or not), put it on his resume and used it to claim "experience" the same way Palin is using it now. The rest is history.

8. How true.
All that "Working across the aisle" bullshit.

He was a miserable joke in Texas.

6. In Texas the LT. Governor runs the state, has all the power.
The Governor just signs papers that his or she is given.

I miss Anne Richards.

I wonder what she would say about Sarah.

Anne would kick Sarah's ass.
