Daily Kos: Palin: These People Don't Stack Up to Me

I'm back at the books. This will be one of my few posts tonight.

I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities.

Who, besides Barack Obama, is Governor Palin sinely taking a shot at in her speech?

Let's start with Lech Walesa, the man who stood on the front lines of the fight to bring Democracy to Eastern Europe as the leader of the Solidarity Movement. This guy was so radical, he even convinced Ronald Reagan to hand him a medal. I think it was something about bringing down those communists unions, or was it the unions bringing down the communists? Not sure which now, but he led something called the Solidarity Movement that brought down the communists.

Then there's Mother Jones, a woman who inspired a famous songand who is still known throughout Applachia as the Miners' Angel. She's so radical that there are statutes dedicated to her throughout red blooded and God fearing West Virginia.

Or how about Susan B. Anthony? Her biography says she was known for giving speeches throughout North America and Europe - and we all know how that plays with the Republican crowd.

She also actually thought it would be a good idea for women to vote. Now that's a radical! Just look at what she wrought.

FULL story at link.

1. This point needs to be hammered home repeatedly!
Palin and those who echoed those sentiments have slapped the faces of millions of Americans on BOTH sides of the political divide. I am aghast, really, that they took that route simply to thumb their noses at Obama's resume.

3. How about MLK or Ghandi?
I guess they didn't have real responsibilities.
