too before the speech, but then caught the careful wording...I think it was meant to be future tense

5. That's not important,
except perhaps to the astrologers on line.

Since putting up several candidates who are then voted for by the delegates is now a thing of the past, having her nominated by acclamation today was just a way of making it official. I assume that something similar happened with McCain, probably today.
