The Lucille "Sambo" story has been confirmed!!
None other than Mike Malloy just reported it on his show and he sounds like he practically knows Lucille and has no doubts about her voracity. This will finally drive a stake thru Palins heart.

83. Supposedly a waitress named Lucille, who didn't want her last name
given, reported that Palin made this statement in a loud voice in the middle of a restaurant.

The waitress was part aboriginal and she was offended -- but not surprised -- by it. She implied that this kind of racist language is very common among whites in Alaska.

85. The original story was in this post
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x6952478
that went to this article
Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper): Palin Is “Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, And Mean”
that included this excerpt

by Charley James –

“So Sambo beat the bitch!”

This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.
According to Lucille, the waitress serving her table at the time and who asked that her last name not be used, Gov. Palin was eating lunch with five or six people when the subject of the Democrat’s primary battle came up. The governor, seemingly not caring that people at nearby tables would likely hear her, uttered the slur and then laughed loudly as her meal mates joined in appreciatively.

“It was kind of disgusting,” Lucille, who is part Aboriginal, said in a phone interview after admitting that she is frightened of being discovered telling folks in the “lower 48” about life near the North Pole.
Then, almost with a sigh, she added, “But that’s just Alaska.”

The background helps

2. doubt it

Because a Liberal radio talk show host knows someone who allegedly said this?

Had George Allen's maccaca not been ON TAPE, it wouldn't have made a hill of shit to anyone, even if all 200 people there in attendance said he said it.

The ONLY WAY this type of story gets legs is only if it is recorded in some way. Without that, this wont go anywhere.

I still doubt this goes anywhere.

Even if she gets interviewed by all the majors they'll just say the media is picking on the women and playing the race card, it'll be swept under the rug, and it's back to business.

the ones that approve aren't the only ones that stirring up this information will expose it to. It's the ones that don't approve.. and the ones that aren't sure if they approve, that the information might be relevant for.

Of course, if any of those that approve slip up in their defense of the comments... that's always amusing too...

Unless it is on tape (and even then) most people won't believe it or care. Scratch that, the people who believe it and/or care weren't going to vote for her anyway (before this)

I'm so tired of the holy rollers and their 'we'll look like fools! waaahhh!' attitude. Edwards and Clinton were accused of affairs; they lied and the truth came out. McCain swore up and down that he wasn't involved in the Keating 5 scandal: lie. Palin calls herself a reformer because she was against the 'Bridge to Nowhere': lie. If this story isn't true, the truth will come out, Palin can sue and the journalist that wrote the piece will have a reputation in tatters. Until then, I think it's fair game.

I just was driving home and heard Mike start to go into it and his opening comment was along he line of 'from what I hear...' He was talking about the ebay/jet for the 10 minutes I was driving home and then went into this story. I had read about it already and was home so I turned the car off. If he was so sure about it wouldn't he had made it the top story. Also he was very matter of fact when he announced the Lucille story, unusually calm. If he had the goods on her I think he would have been in his normal highly agitated state.

79. Maybe Mayberry in post 64 clears it up.
I agree, Mike was talking about it. I still disagree that he 'confirmed' it. Fully admitting that I turned the radio off after his lead in to the story, the reason being, Mike's presentation at the beginning.

I think she is likely a racist piece of shit, hates gays, liberals, French, New Yorkers, Californians, on and on, but until there is proof the story has no legs.

63. Let's go one step further and say it was her relatives, the husband's side.
I would rather a tape or a video.

66. repeated does not mean confirmed
He repeated the story but he hasn't provided anything approaching confirmation that it actuallyl happened. At most he "confirmed" that Lucille the waitnress with no name says it happened, which was never in doubt in the first place.

87. I agree. And strategically speaking, does this really help Obama?
I mean a whisper campaign may have repercussions for "unintended" victims. The McCain campaign has already accused Obama once, falsely, of playing the race card. I can just see the GOP talking heads accusing Obama of orchestrating a whisper campaign against Palin. These things need to be verified by more than one source.

was a racist I just knew it. Do you think they will dump her now--and lose huge--or keep her and lose huge--it really is a no win for them either way...
