All these people in Alaska not wanting to go on record about Sunshine Sarah because they fear of the Hookey Mom.
What kind of leadership is that?
That's just down right wrong.
That's the kind of morality you see in small towns. Some one Bully's their way into power and then uses the intimidation of the position to coerce the community. I guess that is why Republicans like small towns because they can get away with the bully tactics.
Think about it. It happens in bigger cities, of course, but the media in small towns are beholden to a small group of advertisers for survival. People in the town, many who have jobs related to government, are frightened by what could happen to their livelihood if they spoke out of turn. There are that many other jobs available.
Yes, that may be why the GOP is "big" in small towns.
Of course not all small towns are run by intimidation, but you can see where the power of the mayor could be used as an iron fist.

It's kind of like mold...
It thrives in small, dark, damp places.
We need to throw open the doors and windows and shine the bright daylight of hope onto it!
