I want someone who I can relate to: Underachieving, mediocre, and too lazy to think too hard |
|
It would make me feel bad to vote for someone smarter and more accomplished than me. That Barack guy was president of Harvard Law Review and graduated near the top of his class at Harvard Law School. He single-handedly grew a community development organization from a staff of 1 to 13 people and an annual budget of $70,000 to $400,000. He became a state senator at age 36, and a US Senator at 43. His life is filled with one achievement after another. He makes me feel inadequate.
McCain and Palin represent what's best about this country: average, mediocre people with no real qualifications or skills other than cunning and self-promotion making it to the top. Hey, if they can make it to the White House, who can't?
McCain's milked that POW thing for over thirty years now and Palin lucked into the Alaskan governorship by stabbing her cronies in the back, and turned 18 months in that gig into a VP spot. They make me feel good that I've never done anything of any worth my entire life.
If I don't win the lottery, I'm gonna become governor of a small state.
