The GREAT thing about having Joe Biden on our ticket
Other than having someone with real substance, our team can divide and conquer. Barack can be in one part of a swing state, Lancaster, PA for example and Joe can be in another part, say Langhorne, PA. We're reaching more people than McSlime/imPalin ever will because she won't be let off her leash.

Another thing we have in our favor is we always seem to have town hall type meetings with a Q & A after, which gives people a chance to ask questions.

Finally, for all those worried, I think we have a record-setting registration drive happening this election cycle. If we can actually get voters to turn out on Nov. 4, I think we have this one in the bag, decisively.

1. Agreed.
And Biden is a beast at campaigning! He is so fired up to win the White House, I love it.

2. People need to check that their name wasn't purged. Tekkies need to volunteer/get paid by states....
and companies looking for people to meet their election contracts. Learn the system and stop what bad stuff you can, all while getting paid.

3. good point... we have two candidates...
and they have two half-candidates, neither of whom can go it alone. McCain needs handlers because he's losing it; Palin needs handlers because she's never had it.

I think it was TPM that highlighted a reader comment earlier today saying that McCain's speech was probably so boring and just all-around bad because the entire campaign has been diverted to trying to get Palin up to speed. Her speech had a lot of red meat, whereas his was second-string recycled crap from 2000. (Daily Show had a great match-up between Bush 2000 and McCain '08.)

Obama and Biden need a solid campaign infrastructure just so their message gets out there.

McCain and Palin need a huge campaign infrastructure to keep reminding them what the GOP's message is supposed to be.

4. watch for Hillary in Pennsylvania also
and with Ed Rendell , Bob Casey, Teresa Heinz Kerry and her family i don't see who they have other than Arlen Specter .

well, they have Rick Santorum but we saw what happened to him. but he is an example of the far right ideology that just doesn't play anymore.

issues matter and on the issues Obama and Biden win easily.

7. Yes. I don't think you're going to see much of Palin by herself.
She'll be with McSame most of the time.

8. I gotta tell you...
I didn't pay too much attention to Biden in the primaries (because the media didn't give him much airtime), but if I had, I think I would have been a Biden supporter.

No buyer's remorse, here. I'm glad Obama is our candidate.

But I really admire how a guy could spend 36 years in the Senate and still never stray far from his lunch bucket roots. Joe is one of us, and I'm really proud that he's on the ticket.

10. I was thinking about that yesterday.
McCain, Cindy, and Palin are always together. Johnny needs his nurse, and his veep needs her handlers and Johnny to prop her up. WE are reaching three times as many people, I bet.

11. Extremely good point on Biden.
He is a wide-ranger and very much a second horseman while McCain has to keep Permafrost Barbie in the stagecoach, guarded by men with guns at all times.
