The manufactured Oprah controversy
Sarah Palin won't do any press, yet folks are demanding her to do Oprah? Maybe she should focus on the interviews people want her to do. "Meet The Press," "Face the Nation," "This Week," "Good Morning America," "CBS This Morning," "The TODAY SHOW," "Larry King", "Hard Ball" etc.

Why the pressure on Oprah and not "THE VIEW" or "Ellen Degeneres?"

What is OPRAH's obligation?

Palin won't even do what is asked of her.

1. They worry that Oprah might step forward one more time with a
public appearance for Barack. This is their way to keep her neutral for the next 8 weeks.

3. Who wants Palin to do interviews?
As I understand it, she will be giving radio addresses across the nation. Personally, I am not interested in seeing her on the talk shows. Pretty much a waste of my TV air time.

4. Oprah said, "No".
Edited on Sat Sep-06-08 06:27 AM by vaberella
Oprah didn't want the show itself to be a political platform for any of the candidates. However, she did say she would be a great person to interview, but that she wouldn't have her on the show though.

This was said on CNN and I believe FoxNews as well. But I believe I heard it on CNN as a blurb.

6. I heard this discussed on our local radio station and called in I was so irritated by it
I said, it is ironic that you are so concerned with Palin going on Oprah when Palin has refused interviews with virtually every news outlet - paper, network, cable, radio - why is she refusing to be interviewed?

The host said as a journalist, I would love for her to go on Meet the Press or have a press conference...blah blah blah.

I said as a voter, I know absolutely nothing about this woman and where she stands on the issues and that is much more important to me than whether Oprah has her on her show.
