1. The McCain campaign is now trying to claim that
this was just "generic" and had no particular meaning. Right.
Rachel Maddows said they were basically saying it was clip art.

This is what is important: John McCain has no principles, is a fraud, and is unfit to be the president.

showed his incompetency.

Just like his Veep Pick.

McCain is a Walking disaster, and this is proof.

I'm sending it all around....with that caption.

This is how we end this campaign!

9. The images of the black people on bicycles and strong looking black families were $1 and $2 stock
photos.

16. I think Rachel was calling
it "clip art" sarcastically. It is clear they are dumbasses who don't know how to use google images.

18. Sorry, McCain has had 100 "Dukakis moments" ...
not the least of which was making the worst VP choice in history.

A Dukakis moment, or Dean Scream, needs the media to push it.

6. Dukakis is a very smart guy and dedicated public servant.
And he didn't look stupid in the tank - the helmet is designed to go over headphones. AND he had actually been in the army.

Media manufactured.

THIS is the RNC being stupid.

21. Thank you.
But there was also Willie Horton and that stupid, over the top question at the Presidential debate about what he would do if someone raped his wife.

The thing in the tank, and the above, plus the smears from the Republicans(organized by Lee Atwater) did him in, I'm afraid. Dukakis was a good guy.

11. Yes, pretty funny! What a dorky scene.
And I hear the school is not happy about it either.

Glad to see you posting FrenchieCat. I was worried there when you said you were taking a break, becaseu I enjoy your calm, and rational perspective.

12. It just looks like he standing in front of another one of his 11(?) mansions.
I don't see the problem. Maybe he should have had his army of servants standing outside ready for inspection, or the butler walking the dog?

13. For me the worst visual was
McCain, at the end of his speech, walking away from the podium, all alone on this vast stage with a huge video screen behind him.

He looked small and insignificant and alone. The cheers just added to the feeling of him "walking into the sunset" at the end of his career.

They made a big mistake adding the "runway" on the last day, IMO, because it added to the scale of the setting and making the players shrink in apparent importance within the setting.

23. You almost have to wonder.
Either that or his own camp wants him to lose. Not only was that particular picture a horrendous mistake -- looks like one of his mansions -- but the huge flag video was a disaster too. The changing colors washed him out and made horrible backdrops for the small camera shot. He often looked like he was standing in from a white or very light blue screen. And all of the enormous images on that screen made McCain look like he was 2 feet tall. What a disaster! I couldn't be more thrilled that 40 million people got to witness that mess.
